Quick action throttle

Thanks, looks similar to what I have done. That Photobucket thing has people pissed off worldwide, don't think there going to achieve what they want money wise. People are leaving in droves.

I fitted one of these to the Le Mans after  2 x cheapo Chinese jobbies bit the dust http://www.stein-dinse.biz/Moto-Guzzi/Handlebar-Instruments/Starter-switches/Tom-starter-switch-universal-with-kill-switch::169.html

It has all that is required, start button and kill switch and is quite narrow for an easy fit on bars with limited space.

I believe Wolfgang has an inventory of Tomasellie Throttle and Enricher Handle bar controllers. Don't think he has Lucas Switches and levers - maybe?

My Lucas and Tomasellie Bar Controllers are original 1971 Bregazie items, easy to maintain and accurate for position and don't wear out as long as you take care care of them - Love them after some 45 years. Glad I never busted them. I do know 70 Triumph's had the same Bar Controllers including the BSA 250's and Ducati's and what's get me is that most of them Bikes including Breganzie used Honda 750 bars with the hole drilled in the bar for the Jap horn button - LOL.

Hate to have to replace them with an alternative if I can't find the originals not saying alternatives aren't better but man them Lucas and Tomasellie bar controllers are sweet and built extremely well.

The Lucas Prince of Darkness Ignition SX will kill you - Replace it with an industrial Toggle Switch ;o)

The original Honda Bar was rusting so I sand blasted it, applied Epoxy Zinc Chromate undercoat and painted it black - The rest is origional except for a few more things a Rivet Counter will dispute.

That Chrometer on the Rickman Fairing reminded me to go home when I was married - LOL

The biggest nuisance is the Rear Brake Lite Switch on the front brake lever - It tends to get dirty, requires constant lubrication even after adjustment and the stupid wires tend to break off at the switch.

If you want to know what them 3 toggle SX's do - The Bottom is the Ignition Switch - The Middle is my Head Lamp and the Top one on the fairing is my fog flood lamps.

The two extra gauges are for AMP and Cylinder Temp.

She's a long distance Sport Ride designed for night riding in the rain when other bikes have retired.  You have to live on the North Shore of the Great Lakes to appreciate her.

Carlo, I brought a kill switch/starter button off a CBR250 from the wreckers in Ossie Park. The switch is quite narrow so fits well with the QA throttle

f****ing horrible things, giving your cramp in your hand.Padders where are u?  ;)

I'm in hiding until i have anything useful to contribute or until FBB is a runner. So could be quite some time before i post anything............... Oh Bollocks

FFFANARCHY

399 bucks for Photobucket? Why on earth would you need 500gb of storage? I pay about $50 per year and my storage is nowhere near full, and I save space anyway by reducing the size before uploading.

I would but Photofuckit has pissed me off by cancelling my 3rd party hosting unless I pay $399 a year.
So I cancelled my account.
Will try to reduce the original pic and post it as an attachment.
Same deal here buggers they are must have been a 1st of July thingy.

Throttles on the RGS and Cico are both 1/4 turn jobbies ........stock Suzuki type set ups.... just bolted on FCR's instant 1/4 throttle and way lighter than the Dells .. though a damn expensive way to get there though.

Fackin' hell, it's true!  I must be unaffected with my +20 account as I've been paying for a long time - legacy and all that.  Trouble is, plenty of people won't pay the new fee (I wouldn't) so loads and loads of photos are gonna disappear as I see it. >:(

Anyway, Grant, you can migrate your pix to Flickr (I'm going to do it just in case) fairly easily.  Have a look at this: https://www.picbackman.com/tips-tricks/how-to-move-photos-from-photobucket-to-flickr/

I used Flickr before Photofuckit and had some issues with them deleting photos, groups etc so I went to the dark side. I'll be looking now at other free to use photo hosting sites, have a list of 12 so far to go through.

Because I'm a paying customer 'of good standing' my account is OK until December 2018.  I own the domain name rgs1200.com so will look at hosting my own photos - really pissed off that all my old ride reports from my travels wil disappear, but no way am I spending 300 quid on it.  Corporate suicide if you ask me.

Google photos works for me. It's harder to embed pics but once you have that sorted its good, and the storage is cheap (free if you don't want to keep hires).

Still one of my favourite motorcycle cockpits.

...but back on topic it looks like new switchgear for the RHS is the only way without a lot of buggering around.

Will see if I can find something from the wreckers or one of the retro places..just need simple and about 10-15mm slimmer

Going straight  to hell for this switchgear but it will get me through the weekend.

The end result is great. So thanks again for all the advice and suggestions.

A throttle cable stroke multiplier was something that someone suggested after I'd fitted the thing - haven't heard anyone mention those but sounds like a way of retaining original switchgear and having same effect.

Then maybe something like on my RSV4

Wbq6q3FPz7DUaNv5m3-z2vRJUeEyhhXcvqUnRfjOynTpw-fCVae7Kn434JM6Gjy5kuu5q2iVxEdxOTVW7YWgzbi95u-cjGFt89GNrgBRY6KpfBvJ9rYuWBLDhMAQ2fu-z7GmdYsSsO0=w1832-h1374-no

Allens Performance Products for the multiplier, a black coloured one, 1:1.33 ratio, with part number 1771.91 or there is a higher ratio of 1:1.77 which is grey with part number 1933.91.
I intend to give one a try.

From my experience the faster the Throttle the thicker and more tapered the needle with Stock jets (Not getting into Exhaust Systems).

Perhaps a stock needle; but, bigger main Jets is necessary with Bigger Valves and new valve springs with a free flowing exhaust - What's your take?

My mouse is dying - need a new one ;o)

I would expect you would really need the accelerator pumps to work well or it will bog with a fist full.
