Quick Question

The thin nut adjacent to the crankshaft oil seal on  a Series 1: is it a left hand thread (as per the crank rotor end nut) or a RH thread? Can't seem to find a reference to this one in the green book and want to take the starter clutch cover off to inspect the contents and replace the gasket...

Do you need to undo that nut for that purpose? Certainly didn't to fit starter clutch repair kit .

.....maybe a senior moment there...had Clems son make the deep socket needed.Box spanner just as good though.
