Sad news again, Brian Travers, UB 40 Sax player, passed away.
I've listened to the first 2 albums, UB 40 and Present Arms, a gazillion times in the past 40 years.
Brian's sax play is second to none...

I saw them three times in the early 80's, including the gig at the Whitla Hall in Belfast which was made into a live album.

Heard an interview with their drummer - very unpretentious. UB40 sounded like a band of people who really enjoyed each others company, families had grown up together - a great outfit who loved playing music together. My kinda band!!

Knew Brian well, back in the day, and spent many enjoyable evenings in his company.
A gentleman and genuinely nice bloke, one I expected to see again.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him, and many who didn't.
