Which seems like just yesterday!
Every time frame had premium tyres available. I guess some were hyped via race wins. I loved those Comp Ks, in my humble opinion, not so much Avon Roadrunners or Pirelli Phantoms, both hyped by winning local and overseas Production races. These days, dodgy tyres are not a thing; other than reduced rain grooves or being so soft they barely make 2000ks. In our case, hardly anyone makes state-of-the-art tyres in our sizes.
