Race Tech FEGV S3814 for SF2 Ceriani 38mm?

Lads,

Someone here noted FEGV S3801 for 1000 38mm Cerianis. Which valve is the proper one for the 750 forks?

Thanks -

Are you talking about 38 mm Ceriani's? Then it is the same. You will want the adapters too. Then of course you will need the RaceTech springs as well.

Here's what you need. the last image is the springs.

Thanks, Jim; the new kit apparently includes the adapter and is FEGV S3814.

I looked up on their site and you are very correct. You will need the RaceTech springs too. No way you will get a stock sping in there without cutting it down and then it may be useless at that point.

Easy job to fit it all ........ just don't use a cheap allen/hex wrench to remove the hex bolt at the bottom.

Once it starts it never stops. And I am not sure the forks are any better than they were originally. And you can't go back because you have drilled the F out of the damper rod and I am not sure they are available anywhere.
Having fitted Sports Valve emulators I would never go back, although I could, since no drilling was required (they supply a new rod). The handling on rough roads and unseen bumps is hugely improved, with the bike holding its line even though corners with corrugations in the tar seal. Not to mention that I don’t get sore arms and shoulders anymore 👍

A weekend on a track with an instructor is probably better than any emulator and a lot more fun.

Absolutely!

If they are Race Tech, you can adjust the emulator spring, oil viscosity and level, but you have to disassemble the whole front of the bike to do so. How many people get them 1/2 way setup correctly and just quit?

If you persist with the mod I have no doubt the improvements will be very noticeable (eg, Andy) - not that I've done it but have heard from many who have. I just went for moderner suspension - but I'm not a rivet counter.

Having done it to my RGS fork, I can tell you it's a big difference as were the Race Tech shocks.
