I've made my way from Queensland to Victoria, and torn my back tire to shreds in the Snowy Mountains. I'm having trouble finding a 160/60zr17 rear in or around Melbourne. Don't know why. My preference is a Bridgestone S22, and if I cant find that, a Diablo, or a Rosso.

Where do you Vic blokes buy your tyres in Melbourne?

Thanks, Greg

What suburb you in??

As per Q has mentioned above,Pablo’s in Mulgrave.

Scotty’s in Ringwood 98700099.
Good luck. Sounds like you had a hoot in the hills 👍

Most of the distributors I think are in Queensland, mine come in a day or 2 when ordered from the bike shop. Maybe try Motorcycle Accessory Supermarket. They do volume business and might have stock on the shelf.

I'm currently camped east of Albury. Got onto Rick at Pablo's, and he was very helpfull. Unfortunately he wasnt able to get the S22 until early next week. An old bloke in Albury, Rick Hoffan, will have one for me by Thursday from Sydney.

Partly my fault, the tyre was getting a bit of age, but the main reason was that by dumping the bottom half of an ST4 timing map into the Zane it pulls like a friggin tractor from about 2200rpm up. And as it is a rebuilt crank and engine, im running it in and using only 2000 to 6000rpm, and that rev range in the mountains is a lot of fun! So im now up to 1000klm on the new motor in the Snowys.

I've also ordered an epirb. I had an encounter with a mob of brumbies on Elliots way in the rain that nearly put me over the edge....
I'll be in Melbourne 7th till 17th at an RV park in Springvale. Catching up with my son. Text me on 0415 88 5356 if you want to catch up, or if there are any Laverda events.

Thanks to all! Regards, Greg
