RGA/RGS clocks

No. They had an oil-temperature gauge there, either in black or white.

Still, the speedo and tacho are interesting. The plate typically doesn't get lost or damaged. The complete thing is more interesting to someone who wants to build a special with it I'd say or for someone that has a broken tacho or speedo. These things don't brake to often though... Question would also be, which ratio the speedo has. The 1000 SFC original speedo has km and - in red - miles per hour on the speedo. Mph is missing on this one, which might make it a speedo from a different model, potentially with a different ratio between turns of the speedo cable and km/miles shown. have the same one here and it shows "4GIRI=1METER" on the side". Not 100% sure what the original ratio is...

you are correct Lothar, when Moto Laverda ditched the 30 odd years (old stock) Smiths clocks in a factory recall, the gears (in the speedo gearbox, front wheel) had to be changed since the veglias's demanded a different ratio, most dealers were not bothered at doing it and so didnt, hence most SFC 1000's over read to a HUGE degree, the correct gear set might be very hard to come by these days,I cant remember the ratio and havent written it down, someone will know.

mine reads almost a constant 10km/h to much; that said, I haven't checked it to much at WOT. Might be 10%, just don't know. If it shows 60km/h, the real speed is 50 or 51. At 110km/h reading, it's 100km/h in real speed roughly etc.
