RGS 1000 fuel cap. Options?

Anyone know if the gas cap for an RGS with the long neck used a 'universal' or shall I say a gas cap used on other vehicles? I'm refusing to believe Laverda made their own gas cap

It's a commodity part, do a search for RGS fuel cap here or try RGS fuel cap where the price is right.

Here's the original cap, Steve. (As you thought) nothing special. Also used on various contemporary Fiats - Ritmo, Uno, if memory serves.

When I was looking for a lockable fuel cap for my Atlas I discovered they were supplied by FRAMA Bologna, if Laverda used them for Atlas caps its a good chance they did the same for RGS caps I emailed them but they stopped supplying them 10 years ago for Atlass. They might still make RGS caps that fit other vehicles. They make thousands of different types for everything from Italian Super Cars to tractors etc. Try Google to find their email, I lost it.
