My keys for the alloy pannier mounts are missing and the locksmith is having no luck finding a key blank. Does anyone have any information about them? Maker, blank number, substitutes or sources? I haven’t asked Wolfgang yet since he still seems to be suffering from shipping issues, at least I haven’t gotten the parts I ordered before the big storms began. Any ideas?

There were similar requests here last year and one enterprising member in Holland found that a very similar part could be found sourced in USA - worth a search on this forum and see what comes up.

try this chain in this forum https://laverdaforum.com/xf/threads/101253/
I got some and sent them to Holland, not sure if he's got them installed yet.

Wolfgang is sending me some key blanks to try out (if he can find them!) but my locksmith cannot seem to remove the lock cylinders. He can pick the lock and get the crossbar to move to the unlocked position, but he cannot remove the cylinder for replacement.

Any tips for removing the locks?

Send it to the lock picking lawyer on YouTube!
Such a strange world these days that I end up watching videos of a pair of hands picking locks... ??🤔
Well thanks Steve ...... seems anything I need a key for may as well be left unlocked. And after watching that for 20 minutes wouldn’t mind buying some tools, but for what?

Yeah, it's amazing, like he has the master key to the whole world. Shocking to see that almost any lock can be opened within seconds. Fortunately the vast majority of the people you're using the locks against are not intelligent / imaginative enough to learn ways around them, just smash / force their way in, probably in a drug starved frenzy.

Sorry for the thread derailment. But somewhat related... as it likely just needs a locksmith with higher skills. Unbolt the frame and take it around the locksmiths till you find one that can do it.

Might be possible to pick the locks, but I don't see any way to make a key for them without taking the locks apart. Unfortunately, these are difficult to remove from the frame without destroying them. They're held in place by tiny roll pins in blind holes. Spark erosion may be a possibility.

It's possible to make a key without taking the lock apart. It just requires a special tool.
Any good locksmith should have a set of Lishi lock decoder tools.

Here's how it works

I seem to remember a gadget called a key gun, you put the barrel into the keyhole and continually pull the trigger.
