This bike was totally rebuilt last year by Malcolm Cox (rebuild pictures can be seen on Facebook “ Laverda riders worldwide”)
I can also send a full spec sheet of the rebuild that was undertaken by Malcolm on request
Price is £12750 and as you can imagine the bike is a superb example. The motor has been torqued and valves all re shimmed.
purchased originally as a long term bike but another bike always comes along that you desire.

Your diagram is for original taps this bike has what looks like those BAP taps are not sided right hand tap pointing forward is off left hand tap pointing rearward is off.
I have the same taps, a pain in the arse trying to remember when it starts to run onto reserve in traffic. Now I have it imprinted in my brain "Right is right". (A right turn is a wrong turn here, if you want to turn right turn left). Maybe triples are more dangerous than twins because of the angle of the cars but I know tons of twin riders that never close their taps and have never had those Dell´orto needles leak past, but then Murphy´s law can strike at any time, touchwood.

I hate bloody petrol taps too. Why can’t they all be the same as with my memory and eyesight I can’t remember most of the time which way turn them on my various bikes…🤬 (Perhaps I need an aid-memoire on all my tanks.)
As for the bike, other than the hated yellow colour (although it does look better than some other yellow bikes) this is one RGS that has got to be worth the high asking price. Why? Cos I used to own it…😜

I stuck pieces of thick black tape on the tank towards the closed position on the non handed taps of my Duke single. Can even feel them when wearing thin gloves.

This is getting ridiculous, here is a close up picture of my tap as you can see opposite the lever is a pointer which show the mark on a fixed plate that say OFF, in case there is any further confusion I pulled the fuel line off and as you can see there is no fuel coming out. Can we all leave it at that now please? PS does anything want to buy an RGS😂IMG_7557.jpeg

But why did they stamp fuel upside down on the lever, where’s the logic in that?
