Rgs in Sydney

If it was in the UK I would say the price was a bit on the optimistic side for a bike that’s not run on the road for 15 years and needs recommissioning etc.

I'd say the price was a bit on the optimistic side too. Looks pretty neglected as it stands. Whoever serviced it 2 years ago evidently took the carbs off and made an untidy job of putting them back on. The drain tubes are still hanging down the right side of the gearbox.

It might re-commission without much trouble, or it might not. If you're not a gambler you'd have to budget for worst case.

The seller would have a better chance of getting 12k if he got it running and gave it a good clean before offering it for sale.

Jim,
Suggest you edit your post and remove your phone number at least, also your email really. MM can make contact via the forum's personal message feature - now called 'conversation'. It's a bit sketchy putting that much personal info on the open internet. (y)

Tell me about it, my Dear Departed Mother used to sign me up for all sorts of Competitions giving out my mobile number and email, and surprise surprise I would get bombarded with every scammer known to humanity constantly.

Ok got it. This issue all new to me. I usually just speak to people directly.

Huh, you mean other people read this palaver? Poor buggers, they must have nothing better to do.

You'll have to edit your own post now Steve, since it contains a copy of George's with his contact details repeated.
Yeah, been fixed by a mod already, sorry my bad.
I wanted to quote Jim so that he got a notification someone had quoted him and might return more quickly, but then totally overlooked editing the quote.
Initially I was going to just 'report' the post so that a mod would edit it, but thought I'd save our hard working and valued admin team a bit of work and see if Jim could rectify it first. I ended up doubling the work, sorry chaps!

Regarding having such info on the open web I'd agree that with the proliferation of mobile numbers used for hell and all (ID for store club accounts for ex) it's debatable whether it is anything not already doing the rounds. But it's always better to have less online and make the privacy invading bastards work for it a bit at least.
