RGS reserve range?

Hmm, a standard RGS is about a 108 IIRC, dunno about the Corsa/SFC, but fuel is so 'light' these days I'm quite surprised it'll pull WOT with 150s even with your engine spec.

Reggie,

How far you travel on reserve depends on your overall consumption... :D

I regularly get 300km from a fill before I bother to top up, switch to reserve at the 240-260km mark.  So that's at least 40-60km/25-40miles and still making it to the pumps under power.  Can't be much left to be sure, tank then takes around 21-22 litres, topped to the brim and the overflow bottle overflowing!

Actually quite glad to stop by then, bum gets quite sore!  Need to have the seat re-padded.

Like most people, I reset the trip meter every time I fill up, usually get between 260-280 kms before hitting reserve and have got about 20 kms on the rare occasions where I've been caught out.

No RGS, but me Jota 145 mains, clocks up 280klms before switching to reserve and have made it to 320klms
with gentle riding just above speed limit no probs .

Did a track w/end at broadford  :D hit reserve at the 135klm mark ! just as we coming back in from the last lap .

Guess it depends on how hard ya twist it.  :P

I'm seeing about 250km before refuelling.  Although the plugs were pretty sooty when I pulled them yesterday, but that might be down to the amount of oil it's burning.  Am going to pull the carbs for a little look see anyway.

Just got back from picking up my RGS from Keith and found that the tank lasted 240-250k's then did about 25k's on reserve until I hit the next service station. All around the 90mph mark.

Certainly looks like there are different length petcock tubes then because the first time I ran out I wasn't chasing anything and it still only did about 10 miles.

Use to have a good reserve many years ago but when the fuel taps failed and I changed them the reserve dropped, must be down to the length of the pipe on the fuel tap. :o
Use to get 240-250 before reserve but now sail past 300km before I hit reserve, 38mm Mikuni CV's helping out. :D
Normally have to stop for fellow riders who are running low so top up with them. :o
Or the old padded backside wants a rest. :o
