RGS Rod Journal OD

I tried searching in the Technical Library with no success so I thought I would ask.

Does anyone know the crank rod journal OD and the rod roller bearings OD on an RGS (I thought that they were 5mm but not 100%).

Thank you

According to the book,

Crank pin is 35.995 to 36.000 mm.

Big end bore is 46.000 to 46.005 mm

Clearance is .00 to .01 mm

Rollers are 5 mm

I have a1974 3C crank I will be pressing apart soon. First attempt on a triple crank for me.

book is giving you minimum tolerance looking at those figures you quoted

Big end pin is actually 36.030mm when new, after being used for 45 odd years you will find they are somewhere around 36.024mm
Rollers are 5.000mm so the Big End bore needs to be 36.024mm + 10.000mm + 0.20mm clearance = finished size 46.044mm

Thank you very much :)

I think you're right. I thought it should be in the 0.001"-0.0015" range........ 0.2mm is 0.007" which seems a bit on the excessive side. I always seem to have issues with the metric side of things.
