Hi Guys, I'm in the process of making a couple of tank breather connectors (tank breather pipe to flex hose). Is there a market for these? if so I can make up a batch
Question; Does anyone know of a suitable thin wall 1/2 ID tube to fit the connector/overflow tank.

Funny you should ask Chris. I am replacing the tank breather on my bike and the 6mm hose needs to immediately turn 90 deg after exiting the tank spigot so I can put my tank bag ontop of it and not pinch it off. So I found a place that sells various thin wall stainless and alloy tube that I will eventually need to get bent to 90 degrees and be approx 20 or 30mm long either side of the bend. I will include a link, you might find what you need in tube there.

I have there straight version fitted already Cam, the problem I have is its leaked and the postion its in is bloody hard to access without unbolting the Aircraft cap I also have to get a spanner into the tank and nip up the breather. I have found a replacement breather that has the nut outside the tank that I think will work better, unfortunately they don't do a 90.Sorry Chris for the derail

So back to Chris,s RGS tank breather that I have no idea about but I am sure he has a great idea to fix.

Connector is available new, just found it is not listed in the RGS parts manual!

I owned #1561, a NOS bike, which did not have the connector.

My two early 1983 bikes both had/have them. #1470 & 1612

My #1395 had one fitted when I recieved it.  Perhaps it was phased out later on?  Once the o-ring in the connector wears or is bone dry, it can be a bugger to slip on or off.

i replaced the o ring and put a piece of fuel pipe on with a nice stainless jubilee clip - that way when i fill on the side stand to the top i can see when the fuel starts going through the overflow and thats when i stop
