RGS voltmeter mounting location

I want to install a voltmeter on the RGS. Long over due but knock on wood I never have had a charging issue.

Im thinking of the Kosova Mini 3 which is 60 x 30 x 15 mm. I guess use double side tape and stick it to top of the dashboard? Anyone have other ideas?

Double sided tape works well. My voltmeter is stuck on with it and has stayed put for years. It's stuck on the instrument mounting bracket next to the ignition switch.

As for the choice of meter - anything that fits the space and is readable in daylight. Mine is just a cheapo piece of crap that cost a few bucks on eBay, but it does the job.

My solution. I did make a post about it at the time, but can't find it now.

I used the double-sided tape on my homemade alloy dash, that failed on a ride and mine came loose, strong sunlight can do this. You do need to either do a light sand and clean with acahol-based cleaner and try again or Clean away some of the tape and use it and also some Silicon or Araldite and use that tape to hold it till the stronger glue goes off. That's what fixed mine permanently.

Well done, and I take it it's still working ;)
I've often looked at all the spare room on the instrument panel but haven't been brave enough.
So far...

Hi Andy. Yes, still working, sometimes the readout turns off. I think it it might be a dodgy solder joint. I bought a soldering station after, which gives me much better results when soldering now.
I will look at it one day, I'm in no rush, because it is on more than it is off. It only happens when riding, when I turn on the ignition, it always comes on.

Very neat and clever Chappo. Much more subtle than my "rough as guts" method, hanging it off the side of the instrument bracket. I stuck it there as a temporary location until I came up with a more attractive solution. But it seems to have taken root in that spot.

Not an RGS, I mounted mine as unobtrusively as possible on a bracket attached to one of the bolts under the fairing dash, Can't see it at all when turned off and really only visible to rider when on. Not as neat as the RGS shown but no real dash to work with...........

Inspiring stuff! Another soggy wet day here so guess what? Off came the dash, measured up, off to the local electronics shop:

Next thing is to experiment with brightness or some kind of filter because I think it might be a little too bright at night.
Oh and a clock for the other side 🤔
