RIP Jim Henderson

Gutted beyond belief , what a great man and lovely chap , that is so sad .That has really upset me ,,R.I.P JIM
 
Ahhh Bugger…….only knew him through the forum. Came across as a knockabout top bloke!
RIP and wishing his family and friends all the best through difficult times 🙌
 
I learnt from Jim's wife Mary a couple of days back that Jim was on his last legs.
Jim told me last summer that he'd been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and we exchanged a bit after that about how he was doing. I hadn't had any news for a while so sent him a message at the beginning of the week and Mary answered with the sad news.
Jim and I would occasionally exchange about a plan, riding up to Vimy ridge and it's Canadian memorial 60 km from home.
I very much appreciated Jim's dry, biting sense of humour.
Sad news.

When I saw the name I didn't know who Jim Henderson was - then I clicked that it was Helicopter Jim!! Farking hell, that is a shock!

Sincerest condolences to his family and friends. That really sucks.
 
Oh, that sure is bad news. Our swashbuckling, straight talking, helicoptering super-hero is gone. Saddened to hear of his passing.
 
Terrible sad news, such a big cheerful funny man. Always made me smile when I had to post to Lone Butt , ironic really (for you Jim)
 
This is terrible news. I’ve communicated with Jim over the decades about bikes and future riding, he never once mentioned his health issues, only positive chatting on our love of Italian bikes. Another legend lost.
