RIP Ozzy

We are all of a certain age, including The Rockers. Spent a lot of time at High School in the library recording room listening to Ozzy. RIP

May his soul rest in peace, but I'm sure he appreciates a bit of a racket wherever he is now....

R.I.P. Ozzy, many of their songs are part of the soundtrack of my life.
Playing Sabbath Bloody Sabbath album track 3 "Fluff" on the cassette player in my dad's car and gaining his approval, at least until the next track, Sabbra Cadabra started.:)

I’m just glad I took my son ( then 15) to the O 2 in London for the “ last” Black Sabbath gig. I paid through the nose for tickets and parking but it was superb! My boy had a cheeky pint with the old man then bunked off school the next day “ feeling poorly..” 😂
Seeing Ozziy in a wheelchair would have been crap. Quite how he made 76 and why anyone was surprised amazes me.

I first saw Sabbath in Melbourne at a tennis stadium in January 1973. I had just turned 18. I had hitchhiked from Perth to Sydney, then down to Melbourne, where I stayed at the "Y," and there were Sabbath flyers/posters plastered all over Melbourne. I have one of those posters somewhere. A very memorable concert, Ozzie was in fine form and had the crowd in the palm of his hand as he always did.
I don't believe he is 'resting in peace', I bet wherever he is, he is giving them hell, at full volume.

Similar, 1973 Hordern Pavlova aka Tin shed, dark as... one small red light on the stage, glimpse of a school kid on stage with a giant SG, opening chord brings the whole place into life beyond life.... then watching Terence Butler own his side of the stage, a well stamped authority with stage gestures. Decided to be a bass player right there and then. John Osbourne somewhere between an Aston pragmatic and USA tours drug lift off into the void, Vol 4 a point of arrival, for a moment. j
