Hi
what's the recommended ignition curve for a standard alpino using the sachse ZGD3 digital iginition. There appears to a selection of 9 to choose from.
Regards
I had a Sachse on Maxene's Monty and we were running curve 4, seemed okay but recently I changed it out for an Ignitech controller still using the Sachse trigger board.
That allowed me to design my own advance curve and the Monty engine loved the change so figure that Curve 4 may not have been the right curve for the engine.
Module is mounted on the front of the battery box/tray thing
When I had one on my race bike I always ran at "5". The vibration did for it and the spark became unreliable on the right hand pot. Swopped it out for Dyna.
Use curve 4 on my race bike which works well .
I did experiment(on dyno) with different curves when I first fitted but always came back to 4.
The Sachse system is plug and play where the Ignitech requires to be set up ,in terms of creating a curve.
Whats wrong with standard system?
thanks for the input guys. Seems like i will start with curves 4 and 5 and see which works/feels best. Also it seems like it would be sensible to mount the ignition module on something that will isolate it from vibration.
sachse ignition fitted. Pretty straightforward though i did manage to get the coils mixed up
tried a few advance curves and 5 seems pretty good - so much smoother pick up than the standard ignition. just need to tidy up the installation and I'm done.
