Hi all.
Looking through some old fotos and wondered if my old SFC 1000 is still out there?
U.K. bike reg# D309 AJU
Vin/engine was 3218
Be nice to know it’s still around.

Cheers for that, had forgotten you can check with DVLA.
So looks like it’s sat unloved somewhere but, I presume, still in the U.K. Or in some massive collection that will appear at auction one day!!
What a waste….
I’m pretty sure my old RGS XUT400Y is still out there as checked here years a go.

That’s a possibility of course Paul.
In the back of, what I call my mind, I thought it had gone to Australia, but then it wouldn’t be on the DVLA still?
Maybe it will turn up one day.

I recognise the background of that picture, it may be the one that I bought on behaf of a foreign friend, I will check that out.

dammit, I am usually good with numbers but this time I am two out the SFC1000 that I mentioned went to Norway and is now pristine having just finished a rebuild, but the UK number was D307AJU.

Exported bikes can still be on DVLA, it requires the exporter to inform DVLA, that does not always happen, sometimes the bikes come back and the old number can be "rejuvenated" has happened very recently, with an RGS exported to the IOM, who have their own system, and then re-exported back to the UK.

Bloody hell that was close.
It came from 3 Cross Motorcycles as Kieth was a friend of mine and I usually got stuff from him.
Bought in 1993, part exchanged a Ducati F1 I think.
Sold it back to Kieth, can’t remember exactly when but he kept it himself for a while before it got sold on again.
Picture was my place at the time in the Cotswolds.
See what you mean about DVLA and export. Perhaps the Aussie forum members might prove me right!

SFC 1000, engine number #3218 is in Australia, was owned by a friend of ours on the Gold Coast, was then sold to an owner in West Aussie, not certain where it is now

old lady in a old Ford (which means proper steel) pulled out in front of Peter and he center punched her car, we then repaired the bike and installed GSXR wheels, Mikuni flatslide carbs, new Ignition system etc
was also painted after slapping the Ford
here is the bike after being repaired

Sounds like it’s certainly had some adventures since I last saw it.
At least I wasn’t going crazy, knew there was an Aussie connection somewhere.
As my other half is from Queensland I’ve probably been near it at some point over the years without realising!
Actually love the look of it with all your work, sure bet it went better, never was a fast one, my RGS was quicker!!

I spoke to the bloke that owned it and had it for sale. That was at the Albany hill climb. The bike was elsewhere. May have been in Qld...??

Firstly a lovely part of the world, southern WA. I remember some great riding roads when I spent time there. The Classic motorcycling scene seems very vibrant as well.
So it’s for sale?🤔
Don’t think I’d have it back in cold miserable U.K. but I could always move back to more sunny climes!!!
