So the lines coincide on the selector shaft & spindle outside the case, should it be in gear or out when lining up? Then the Gt has 1st oversize Laverda pistons & rings I put in back in 1988. Are there any Laverda 2nd oversize? If not can you go to another oversize w/ Ross Pistons?

Standard SF pistons are 80.0mm, factory oversizes were available in 80.4 and 80.6mm.
There are replacements available in 81mm, Ross are a popular choice.
You will see the mark on the inner selector gear is central in the hole when in neutral.

I ordered recently oversized pistons from Wolfang, they were from Ross, the next oversize he had from 80.0 was 80.5, european dealers did have 80.4. If you order from Ross, make sure you get the appropriate rings, I was missing two, and I had to order them from Ross, took ages and very expensive, I had to buy a full set and customs! Eventually Wolfang send me the two missing rings at no cost
