Series 2 Mudguard

My front mudguard is splitting at the top by 1cm and at the bottom, 3 cm and growing. What is the best way to repair it?

They all do that  

Just needs welding, if you don't want to weld it right now and get the rest of the "summer" out of it drill a small hole at the inside end of the crack which should stop it spreading.

Yep had to repair mine twice, Fitting a fork brace seemed to stop it happening a third time!

Thanks both, special welding or just any old weld? so thin feels like a braise would diminish the risk
