Have square slide kits. Ok the rubber bowl gasket goes in but does not stay. Always pops out on one corner. Then the small rubber orings go somewhere where they are supposed to but not exactly sure. Old ones were thrown out long ago. Ok you tube has a good video but not exactly sure about the tiny orings in their grooves.
Then the timing head mark on sf 8787 is the line mark on the gear w/ the line mark on the head. Not the dots. Ok 2 valves are somewhat open on one side which has to be right. Ok engine crank gear and oil pump gear arrows meet w/ oil pump gear dot tdc and pistons tdc. Ok I was 180 off @ 1st. Using a clean sf2 case w/ sf1 head. Long story...
Then have to do the Gt head. Being led to believe tapping is the flange. (may not be) Do you need new flanges? Then wiring is complete on sf but has to be done as the light housing is off...I have the scheme but which is the Bosch drop key on the scheme??? Can't stand the suspense!!!! Been reading all the posts on the latest head advice. Thats going to be next.
