SF1 for sale in New Jersey

That's a very honest looking SF1 - early number too. I'm constantly amazed at the number of essentially original SFs that come up for sale in the US with what seem genuinely VERY low miles on them. My SF1 already had 19,000 miles on it when I bought it in early 1975!

Low miles usually means that the bike has sat idle for long periods due to problems- ask me how I know. Most of these bikes are sold by questionable punters hoping to unload their problems.

This appears to be a solid offering.

I guess my take would be - if I had any interest in buying another SF - I'd simply dismantle the motor and go from there. Helps a lot of you have the mechanical background and 50 years experience with them. I'd prefer a low mileage bike that has been sitting (for any reason) than an unknown quantity with potentially huge mileage and decades of potential D.P.Ownership.

I'm somewhat interested in it, but without seeing it in person, I can't pull the trigger. Cerakoting is supposed to be better than powdercoating but looks like primer- shame about the covered chrome. I do like the orange paint and Pirellis that appear to be radials.

There's a very original SF2 for sale in the US via an FB group. Wouldn't be hard to determine if it's legit and seller states location, so assume it could be viewed. If it's a genuine sale it's probably the most original SF2 I've seen for sale at a very reasonable price.
