My basket case SF1 came with various parts and I think what is a collection of 2 disassembled engines . I only have one set of barrels which measure out roughly at 80.03 mm. I have 2 sets of pistons . When the originals are slid into the barrell a .178 mm feeler gauge can be slid in between it and the cylinder wall . There is a second set of brand new pistons and rings that from my rudimentary measurement are the same size as the originals but they have cross hatching (knurling) marks across the side of the piston. These pistons fit snuggly in the barrel and a 076 feeler gauge slides in between the piston and the wall . They are marked Mondial 2581 on the inside of the piston . I’m hesitant to use these pistons . I will probably need to order new pistons and rings and am wondering which oversized to order . The bore is in good shape but will need at lest a hone if not a rebore before new pistons are fitted .
