SF2 Fork stop

Hello, I have been pulling down/apart a SF2 and was wondering whats stop the fork tubes hitting the tank on full lock, my tank has 2 lovely indents where this has happen. My other bikes seem to have a little lug welded below and behind the steering head so when on full lock the bottom trees hit this.Hope this makes sense I am terrible at describing things.

When you fit it make sure it's straight and not binding on the lower triple clamp ... it can make for very wanderish steering!

Never seen a speedo cable going through the middle of the steering stop before. Probably a good idea as it would prevent it being pinched in the stop buffer.
