Just reversing some PO appalling efforts to make an SFC from a SF2.
PO was a dab hand with an angle grinder and pigeon sh!t stick welds. I want a standard SF2 bike and need to fabricate some frame brackets.
I need to know the dimensions of the regulator mount brackets beneath the top frame rails, i.e.
1. Bracket material thickness
2. Distance to hole centre below rail
3. Diameter of hole
From the bad and incomplete grinding, I have the location for the tabs, and they seem to have been 30mm wide.
I am wondering if the GT frame cross brace approach to mounting the regulator is better, but maybe it fouls with the 36mm Dellorto setups on the SF bikes. Also the SF has a lighter crank so vibration is more of an issue, hence the rubber band approach.
