SF2 in auction UK

As I mentioned, even if it needed some work it was going to be a great buy. Sorry to hear you couldn't realise its true value. I think if it had been mentioned on here that Keith had done major work on it, it would have totally negated any potential negative comments about possible hidden problems. Everyone on here knows the quality of Keith's work.

I think the scaremongers have good reason, as bikes with unknown provenance and history can indeed be massive moula sinkholes. Your beauty obviously isn't one of them. All power to the lucky buyer - beautiful bike. Can I ask why you sold it?

Buying any vehicle is opening a can of gold dust or worms. The only way you can tell is to either blindly believe the hype or actually own and ride it for a time, and even then shit happens. I have spent thousands on my bike and had the best builders available do hight specialised top-quality work on it and still shit happens. Lots here have decades of experience with good bikes and bad and none want to see people get bitten by unforeseen issues. No comments here to me are ever militias, just all trying to be helpful and share their time-proven views so all can enjoy the joys of a hard-running Laverda.

Thanks for all the nice comments about my bike 🙏 the reason it was sold was as we are all only custodians for how ever long we have them my time with the Laverda had come to an end mainly through my age and the difficulty moving it about and not riding it like it should be used and unfortunately I did less than a thousand miles on it in the the last five years I had her, I was an ILOC member for most of that time and sites like this and the iloc forum are are great resource to provide guidance and support they certainly helped me 👍but unfortunately I spent too much time polishing and not riding 😊 I did some research on the previous owners and all of them were older than me and I am very nearly 63, so I hope the bike has gone to someone a bit younger.
It was a fantastic bike to ride it left me some great memories and 2 herniated discs in my back otherwise I would have kept her…😢

Ah that’s a real shame you had it sorted and had to sell. I did wonder what the back story was. I saw that Keith had done work which is as good as it gets, and the bike was the shiniest I’ve seen in a long time. Looks like a I missed a good ‘un/genuine bike. Had I been allowed to start it or see the engine turn over at viewing I’d have bid - I’m always suspicious of auctions, but misplaced on this occasion. Someone got a bargain, not only the value of Keith’s work, but the time taken to get it to that condition is not inconsequential. I hope the new owner pops up here so we get the next chapter.
