Hello Forum, I just got back the replacement tank from the stripping shop, I was wondering if this tank has been tank slapped my the forks or is this how they are, it also looks like there is 3 creases on both sides of the front of the tank, like they were made when the tank was built, the red strip place said there was a little bit of filler where these were.

Looks to me more like a manufacturing flaw than subsequent damage. You could go to all sorts of trouble and expense to flatten it out, but a little bit of filler will fix it a lot easier.

My tank was very similar when stripped and we just filled it, hardly any needed as it was shallow.
