I have been checking my clearance at top dead centre, but I just found that if I check the clearance 90 degrees before TDC I've got an extra 2 thou. Weird! Standard SF2 cam.

I check them 360 deg from somewhere near full lift.

The book says to do them at TDC. On any 360 deg twin I always just do each valve when its opposite is at full lift (e.g. when LH exhaust is full lift I do RH exhaust). Saves all the bother finding TDC, so bloody lazy I am!
