Correctly gapped points (0.4mm) start opening at TDC - the PM marking needs to be checked for accuracy as noted earlier in this thread

Well what a difference.The static timing revealed one cylinder retarded,the other advanced,blanced the carbs and its almost a different bike with the timing correct,much smoother up to 70mph,then a few vibes and smoothes out again up to 90mph,going to strobe her up soon to check the advance at 3500rpm
