Maybe someone has interest. I do not know the seller.

https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/laverda-sfc-1000-classic/1410048363-305-6813?utm_source=mail&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=socialbuttons&utm_content=desktop

Could be a good offer because it was just one year registered. Ugly front flashlights.

"since my wife and I have been fully Harley- Bacillus"

Maybe Paul would know ...... is this a vaccination to prevent Harleys?

Jim

No, it's to do with deviant group sex.
Not the healthy group sex we practice.

Not, then you teach.

Hmmmmm ........ in the aviation world you only teach when you know you will never achieve perfection. Either you teach or you get a job with the government.  Either way then you can pretend you know more than anyone else and have the credentials to prove it.

The rest of us ignore these people as best we can. We are too busy acheiving perfection.

I think it's a good chance to get a low milage bike, do a carefull thotough service and enjoy a bike that has not been through a lot of hands.

If I was looking for one, I'd get that one. An dit's a lot cheaper than around my waters.

Cheers,
Jacques

sorry for getting this thread back to topic, but I absolutely can see the potential in this bike. Yes, it needs attention (and maybe a lot), but the price is not the price, it is a starting point for a discussion.

The pros: low millage, late 1000 SFC Classic (strengthened head stock, wire wheels), first hand
the cons: long standing, needs at least a lot of servicing all around, front blinkers are wrong (why?? crash or just disliked the original ones? why then are the rear ones correct?), wrong exhaust and some other minor things.

If the engine turns and no rust is to be seen, a good spray of WD40 and some time might free-up the for sure blocked piston rings. if not, pulling the head and barrels shouldn't be a tough job. Rest of the bike looks pretty OK. Carbs will need ultrasonic cleaning and brakes need for sure some attention. In best case, it is 2-3 days work and maybe 500? in parts to make it a runner. Worst case it will be a week of work, a set of new gaskets and maybe new piston rings. And new rubbers, that's for sure...

If I had the time, I would drive down and collect it. great bike to ride if everything is fixed. And rare chance of getting one and even more so with such low millage...

EDIT: Jacques did beat me on the answer... was still typing when he posted, but it both goes in the same direction.

"Der Preis ist Verhandlungsbasis."

"So how about 20??, then?"  :P

11.111 ?!  Why people can't just start off at something sensible escapes me ... (Well, it doesn't of course.  But you know what I mean).  Bloody Harley riders again  >:(.

Rant over  :D

I?m with Piet on this one.
If the price is negotiable , it?s a starting point.  It?s up to the buyer to create a  rapport with the seller to get to a price you are both happy with.  You can always walk away.  Grants may seem a better  deal especially for a Uk buyer , but then if you were a buyer in Germany , you have transport costs , import taxes and if Germany is anything like Spain , it?s a bit drawn out to get the bike registered in the system , and that alone will cost in Spain 1200-1500 euros these days , plus the import taxes etc. So then it?s probably not a bad option for a local buyer

UK is in a transition period of leaving the EU. AFAIK no import duties in Germany until now.
Registration is not as cumbersome as in Spain, but can empty your wallet quickly.
All depends in which State you live.
