SFC #3211 on ebay

The 1986 Laverda SFC 1000 is on the list of iconic collectable modern classics. It is described in reviews as 'Breganza's best

I deem that phrase as a warning to stay away.

some parts damaged:
-unfortunately the un-optainable turn signals...; but maybe only slipped out of their rubber holder??)
-windshield
-right mirror

Needs some decent look-through but I agree, it looks to be a very genuine first series 1000 SFC. If it would be in Germany, I would take it at that price (assumed the engine is not blocked or known to have a serious damage; but even then, it is one of just around 450... ). For me, it indeed is one of Breganzes best.

Hi Lothar,

This could already be a second series, if you refer to the underside of the buddy seat, since mine is #3228. Or do you know the exact chassis number change?

Schöne Grüsse,

could indeed be second series. the plate at the headstock states 5/86 as the production date I would assume. I though the last series was build in 88, but maybe that was just the Classics. not sure also when they actually changed from Marzocchi rear shocks to Koni...?

this is roughly 12.500€ - an average price for a 1000 SFC that needs some fixing. If the KM are genuine and the engine has been treated well before storing the bike, there are just a few things to fix which are nnot overly expensive. Assume a good polish, new mirror and new turn signals, new tires and new oil and gas. The rest is mostly service and maybe an overhaul or at least cleaning for the carbs.

There is currently another 1000 SFC on sale in Germany that has a black frame, black footrest plates, wrong turn signals, wrong mirrors and some other points that need fixing and it's offered roughly at the same price. I sold a very well serviced classic 4 years ago for more than that (with TÜV and new tires etc.)

Maybe the "SFC" 1000s are more highly valued outside the UK, judging by this:

I was kinda interested in that bike until the price went over $15K. I thought the SFC100 wasn't so sought after and never expected it to get anywhere near $20k. Just goes to show that I don't know anything about bike values.

The last ones I have followed sold between 11.000 and 13.000. The one in UK comes at least close to that (9.000 Pound = 10.440€).

These bikes are really rare and even more rarely sold...
