SFC for sale?

I guess with all these things it depends when you want to sell it, whether you actually want to sell it, or whether you're just fishing or waving yer tonker about.

We sold at auction a very nice, very original, very low mileage (4K) Aprilia RS250 not so long back for less than half the price that far higher mileage ones are advertised at, month...after month....after month....

Sure, we'd advertised it at a "silly" price and not got any takers. So auction it was. The market decides.

We still got more than twice what we'd bought if for some years previously, mind. It just had to go. It wasn't getting used and these things cost money standing still.

The same has happened with a few other "desirable" bikes we've sold. Honda TLs, Yamaha XTs etc.

And these bikes are in a pretty remote place. Although I admit, in their position I'd be inclined to ship them to an agent in a larger center & up the price.

So until you know the whole story, shouting "dodgy" is a mite unfriendly, n'est pas? Like someone above says. Who's going to check it out? Could be a "bargain" there for someone?
 
I saw these bikes being discussed on a Ducati Sport page and it seems highly likely that it is a scam. The seller also lists a pair of Ducati Sports at undervalued prices and they determined that one of them sold legitimately for $36,000 USD the previous year. The photos in the listing are from the previous sale.

Paul Marx could be behind this though ........ we know how he feels about bike prices.

Hilarious!! As for the Sport, i would definitely assume a lower value for one c/w a genuine SFC - SFC is surely halfway between a green frame and a Sport in terms of expected price? But these jokers are unbelievable with their scams!!

Which surprises me - as the Sport was really just a GT with a few cosmetic changes. An SFC is so far removed from a standard SF or GT as to be another moto entirely. But as we know, the market decides!
 
I know of a 750 sport that sold for 50K in Oz at about the same time SFCs were selling about the same.
If it's got Ducati on the tank it makes all the difference.
Green frames were only replicas of the Imolas and very different from the race bikes.
SFCs are the race bikes so in my opinion should be worth a shitload more than a Green Frame replica.
Still I'd love to have a Green Frame. Next to the SFC it's the 2nd best looking bike for my eye followed closely by the MV750S in 3rd place.
The best offer I've had for my SFC was 70K several year ago. Just can't get my head around to selling it..............yet
