SFC1000/Corsa brakes

can somebody confirm, the front brakes on a Corsa are 280MM fully floating?
and SFC1000 are 300mmm also fully floating?

not opinions please, facts only.

for the 1000 SFC, I can confirm 300mm "Race use only" brembo full floating discs with gold anodised center hub. I think both bikes had the "oro" version of the P08 as calipers. Not sure of the Corsa brake disc, but as the Corsa has a standard 38mm Marzocchi IIRC, it must have 280mm discs due to the mounting points of the calipers. Not sure if they were full floating, but as Beucars confirmed, they seem to be.

That?s a bit rich coming from you Clem, no opinions...... :-*
However, having also owned both, I can confirm they stopped better than a standard triple  :LOL:
 
were there some opinions of mine that you didn't side with then Jessie?

The floating discs don't have seperate carriers like the solid ones.  Floaters interact on disc "hub" and disc, so 300mm disc assembly is completely different to 280mm.  Bolt patterns to wheel hub were always the same for Laverda models.

All discs will fit to all wheels, just a matter to get the calipers in position.  Floating discs can cause clearance issues to fork slider in some cases, reason why SFC1000 wheel hub was slimmed down slightly.  "Stock" disc width wouldn't clear the thicker M1R sliders, despite identical fork width and axle length.
