A question to the SFC1K world of knowledge I know you will know this Lothar, a "dear friend" of mine is dialling in cam sprockets on my SFC1K head and would like to know if anyone has specification for max lift inlet and exhaust cams.
An urgent answer would be appreciated as  my "dear friend" wants to send my head back quickly :D :D :D
Thanks,
M.

Lobe centres 100/100 is the factory spec and also delivered the best power curve for me on the dyno.  Will be interesting to see whether your "dear friend" finds the same on his.
Cheers

Can't tell you different, as these are the specs... However, Scott Potter sent me some F1 Cams for 180? engines and did some different holes for different lube-centers according to his calculation software. Haven't tried them yet though...  ;)

Maurice,
Are those cam blocks/bearings original items? Or has your "Dear Friend" slipped them on while you weren't looking?
Rocket

yes factory figure for p1's is 100/100 lobe centres. I have a printout of all Lav cam figures somewhere.

Hi Rocket Rod those cam bearings are the Redax billet blocks I have a set of those with a .4mm offset in my 3C they are really really good !!
Do you self a favour and put a set in that (highly fuel effiecient) err I mean slow old Jota of yours, if "Dear friend" throws them in I will accept them with pleasure.
Hauge if your SFC1K has a big flat spot in the midrange something is wrong my SFC has a very strong midrange far more progressive than my 180  Jota and continues producing good power from 2000 rpm to 8000rpm "if you believe the tacho. I wonder if your cam timing is incorrect do you have 3 into 1 into 2 ??

It has a 3-1 with big down pipes. However I will replace it with stainless Keihan/jota system that was on the black sfc I just bought.
I guess the P1 camshaft combined with the big down pipes is the cause of the poor midrange.

After 5k its real nice and pulls far over the redline and leaving "modern" 2v Ducatis as small blurring spots in the mirror.  :D
