Side stand for 750

Sorry if this has been covered before, but the side stand from Wolfgang that the PO purchased makes the bike precariously stand almost upright and ready to tip over. It is robustly made, but a slightly shorter stand would tilt the bike more securely. I know the center stand is more secure, but there are times when a side stand is useful. Are there any other side stands from other bikes that would accomplish this? Thank you!

Might pay to make sure you’re happy with the suspension before finalising your stand(s), even tyres can make quite a difference. Just a little hint I picked up… 😉

Me too, wait till you are happy with the ride height before modifying the length of the stand. Even tyre profiles have an effect, sliding forks through the trees as well. I simple solution on stand length can be found by riding up on some different thicknesses of ply on both wheels and seeing what angle the stand becomes, there will be a trig function with the stand angle not being plumb compared to the vertical change from the ply but its better than guessing. Not sure about the twin's side stand but lots are hollow and can be cut and solid sleave added and welded back together, adding a bigger foot helps on soft surfaces. Done this over the years to both side and centrestands a few times. There is a kit for triples that uses a Kawasaki stand, no clue about twins.

Thanks guys- it currently has Shinko tires and standard Ceriani shocks both of which will be changed soon. If I could I,d bend the stand as I don,t want to drop this beauty
