Thanks Rob, thought it might be maintenance, just when you need a shipping address on a pm !. Many thanks for sorting!

Thanks Rob!

There are certainly many things that are more important on this planet than laverdaforum.com.

However, I must admit, that if the forum isn't accessyble, my own epicenter gets quite into trouble. Good to hear you could get it back on track again!

:D

Thanks Rob. We are in good hands and we are very grateful for your steady hand on the helm. I wonder if the issues I had last week were connected (no pun intended).

Looks like there were further problems in the wee small hours overnight (GMT). The original failure was very unusual and our webhost decided to transfer us to a completely new server to enable them to fully investigate the problem, as well as hopefully avoid further issues. 🤞

Clearly I typed the above too soon! Further interruptions experienced this morning (GMT) but hopefully now fully resolved.

Been having problems, today, with slow loading time outs. All other pages/forums loading normally.

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6400 CPU @ 2.70GHz
RAM 8.00 GB
64-bit operating system
Windows 10 Home, fully up to date.
Firefox 111.0, fully up to date

Be gentle on Hamish, just bought recently very similar hardware, 5 boxes in all, a few with -i7 8 cpu procc, ex government desk top/tower. Retrofitted solid state hard drives ( big improvement ) bumped the mem to 16g on a few, kept one as w10, for ipad repairs mostly, rest i went Ubuntu ( used to teach Linux server build and maintain ) responds on the internet as fast as i can type. Mozilla my preferred clients on Linux platform, used Dell hardware at about $100 a box, old flat screen TV as monitors ( older Dell retained SVGA/XGA 15 pin and Display Port options HDMI if you must ). Bargains out there, Hamish knows, grin j

Not so much down as very slow at times today. Here's why -
This system is seeing intermittent connectivity issues due to DDoS traffic floods. We are investigating currently.
The 'we' is our hosting company. Rather frustrating after a server failure yesterday. I'm hoping these things don't come in threes!

Thanks, Rob.
Nice to know the gremlins aren't at my end.
