Selling this genuine Slater Mirage (document from Slater to prove it).
I restored this bike recently and it has only done 3000 miles since then.
Full nut and bolt restoration:
new loom
new paint
professionally restored instruments
Eldorado seat cover
Brakes completely overhauled
Hel brake lines
Stainless downpipes and Jota silencers
AGM battery

The engine was totally rebuilt:
Rebuilt crank
re-bore and high comp pistons
full head job

It has a full Redax ignition/alternator system fitted:
250W 3-phase alternator
Ignitech programmable ignition system
modern reg/rec
Nology coils
It has newly fitted Maxton fork conversion:
preload
compression
rebound

It has the correct 4C cams fitted, and with the high comp pistons it really shifts.

The bike is currently in my workshop for a service.
Asking price is ?12,250. PM me if interested.

If I had the money I would keep this for myself.
The 1200 motor with 4C cams, Jota silencers, and this has high comps too, make it fast and torquey.
The modern ignition really transforms running too.

The bike is a true beauty and one of my all rime favourite Laverdas.

Just curious but I thought that a "proper" Slater Mirage had 7C cams ....... or was that the Formula Mirage?

If I was living in Sconnie Botland I would be coming over with a suitcase full of cash (although ther gendarmes may be close behind as I would have had to knock off a few Scotmid's to get the cash).

Jim

The Mirage had 4Cs and low comp pistons, the Formula Mirage had 7Cs and high comp pistons.
