Slaters Visit

I am on a driving tour in Wales in the next two weeks and wondered about calling at Slaters on the way back. Is the shop still in Bromyard, or is there somewhere to visit in Powys..or is that only a mailing address? Would love to visit and say hello, buy a souvenir tee shirt and shake Mr Slater’s hand and get his autograph on my book, if that’s possible? Thanks for any advice.

It is the ILOC International Rally at Baskerville Hall, Clyro on 3rd and 4th September why not pop along it is not far from Bromyard.

I live in Wales, did a 380 mile yesterday on the SF from the Brecon Beacons to Caernarfon, then along the north coast and back down the border. North Wales was rammed, lots of traffic and crowded towns + tailbacks between Caernarfon and Oswestry. Reported queues over 30 mins at the top of Snowdon as walkers posed for summit photos. Mid Wales was gloriously empty and excellent roads. I will be keeping out of the north until after the holiday season.

If you phone the Slaters number I believe you will get to speak to Richard as he now operates from home not far from the old showroom although due to space considerations the bulk of the spares are kept up at Powys.

Thanks a lot for the insider knowledge! We are following the coast all the way round and up to the north and then down across the middle. We have plenty of time to cover it and will avoid the hot sports, hopefully. Thanks!

OK but just bear in mind while you may speak to him on the phone I doubt if it will be be convenient for him to actually meet anyone now the business premises no longer exist.
