Slow Forum

All good, seems Bill was updating Windows in secret. Why would I need to know about that? Back to normal speed now.

I have noticed a change recently, but only that Firefox is tripping over itself when opening photos - very slow doing that. Might be FF. Mobile is fine.

I just put it down to Abbotts 3rd world NBN infrastructure we got when he came into power. My area, we only have Satellite if your out of town or wireless if your in sighting distance to the NBN tower they erected on top of a hill over looking town. I've had shit/unreliable internet since I moved to Walpole. Have a neighbor who works from home who often has to go into town to use the CRC [community resource centre] internet to upload/download work stuff. Also only has 60gb limit on the satellite so when that's gone back into town again to carry on working.
I'm on wireless, just, have trees in the way, so I do get connection but not a good one. At least I do have unlimited download
3rd world African countries have managed to build better internet than Oz did.

Same here Rob, I need a relyable internet for work. I fixed the issues by changing to Starnet. Now we can download at over 200Mbps and upload at about 10Mbps. Not one outage in the 4 months we have had it. Unlimited data as opposed to NBN satelite. Fuck Telstra and NBN.

Hi Bruce, yep living in the bush we get fuck over. Price of everything pay through the nose, food, fuel, have to pay transport for anything I buy on line, hate to think how much I paid for transport to get building supplies when I built/building the house. My local transport guy has just put on a 50% fuel tax on anything he brings to Walpole. Now cheaper to drive to Perth to collect than have it transported.

The advantages are way ahead than city livin by far. It's actually cheaper in the long run as I don't have pubs, resturants and other city distractions to afford.
Zero stress is good too. Well apart from the motodd charging issues which is doing my head in!!!

The kangaroos aren't free,
40 bucks a month for a bag of roo food plus apples and carrots.
Also the cost of fencing everything I plant as the fuckers eat everything.

To bad I'm vegetarian
Plenty of roos in my neighbourhood
Had to put the old girl down last year,
She reached a ripe old age of 19 which is a good innings for a roo. Stop buying seed for them after that. I don't have the same relationship with all her offspring. It's not like they don't have anything to eat
