I've been doing an endurance replica for some time with a triple 1200 ... and I have the doubt if Smiths gauges of two-cylinder models are interchangeable.
They fit this bike better than the huge (and erratic) NDs.

The tacho drive ratio is the same on almost all big Lavs, the exception being the 500 Formula with Veglia Competizione tach.

Erratic ND?  You're in for a surprise with the Smiths!

Get the ND overhauled, a far better and more precise instrument than the Smiths could ever be.

uhmmm, i have had no experience with smiths, but i must believe your opinion.

I find the Smiths excellent.

3 cylinders ain't going to make it any faster.
Remember that Smiths were fitted to some 1000 SFCs.

Important to know that Smiths use a bigger diameter square section on the cable end. You can use the ND cable, but usually not for long..
