SOLD Laverda Jota SOLD

Offering for sale here my Jota. A very clean straight bike, recent service including new cam chain and valve clearances. New chain and sprockets, Goodridge brake lines. (Done by the previous owner who owned it for 15 years)
Runs well with a quiet engine, rides great nice gearbox and an exhaust note that only a Jota can produce.
It is a genuine early Jota. - one of the ones brought into UK as incomplete bikes and finished to Jota spec by Slaters in Bromyard.
Matching numbers bike manufactured in 1976 and sold new by John Blanchard of Eltham (Slater brothers London dealer) in 1977. These early bikes are quite special
At some point in its life a previous owner has refinished it in the iconic silver / orange colour scheme.
A very usable classic with all of the visual, audio and visceral impact that you can handle!
I’ve not owned the bike long, I have now decided to reduce my collection to make room for a Desert x as I want to do more touring.
I thought I’d offer it here first before it goes on EBay.

First congratulations on the sale, a very fair price. Personally, I think Laverda's prices are set very low, especially if you compare with Ducati from the same year. I sold my new renovated JOTA, 3 years ago, and got: 24,500 Euro, a fair price, it was a brand new motorcycle.

Fingers crossed but the more money changes hands for motorcycles, the more remote motorcycling becomes.
If people want to make money, there's the stock exchange, drugs, weapons and Ducatis. Leave motorcycles out of it.

I was talking to a mate this morning about this. He has a collection including an 82 Maico, the high water mark apparently was the twin shock 81 and he just found one of those and bought it for 18k Oz. He was telling me GTS 860 Bevels are now selling for over 20k. You couldn't give them away 20 years ago. Just crazy money.
