Spark Plugs Sf Gt Champion N-2

I used to use Bosch 260T2 back in the first 5 years of owning my SF1 then switched to NGK B9ES and have never used anything else - have never fouled a plug in 50 years of ownership. I have heard that modern fuels might require a hotter plug (eg B8ES) but having seen my brother's SF2 hole a piston on the equivalent I'll stick with 9s until I need to change. If you switch to NGK, beware of cheaply made knock-offs - apparently not easy to spot, so buy from known and reputable sources.

If you can get genuine Champions where you are then N3 is fine for your bike, between NGK B9 and B8 apparently. I have used them without problem. Plugs are a bit like oil, people swear that their bike can't use things that others can, and as Q says, there are fakes of everything available on the www.

but your bike (IIRC) Hamish, is a triple, vastly different parameters for a twin. Much more likley to hole a piston right under the plug electrode.
CLEM

I use NGK BP 9 ES for all my120 deg.tripples, RGS and SFC and have no issues since years, they work fine. As it was said, Champions are difficult to buy and also Bosch are not abailable in most of the shops.
