Thanks Paul - is there a particular pattern/style name? Been biking for about 50 years but don’t think I’ve ever bought handlebars before! There's plenty of after market flat handlebars around.
Paul
No. I just wandered around the internet and found some for my 3C. A week before it was engulfed in flames. Thanks Paul - is there a particular pattern/style name? Been biking for about 50 years but don’t think I’ve ever bought handlebars before!
You are right Marty but BMW R65 and no doubt many others are 22mm not 7/8". Switch gear etc. will not fit. I got a pair of new bars at 22mm from the UK eventually. A real PITA!Actually, bar diameters are in imperial. Not metric. 7/8 " bar, or, if you must, 22.225mm.
Thanks GregI provided Wolfgang Haerter with a 1200 factory front fender in October of last year and
if memory serves was in nice condition. Get in touch with Wolfgang and see if it is still
available.

Don't worry. I'm used to it. I'm the world's n°1 specialist on rebuilding burnt Laverda. I have several in stock.Thanks- sorry to hear about your bike

If I were you, I'd sit on your bike and place my hands where I feel comfortable and get somebody to measure width and height and look from there.
Anything too far from the original bars will need new cables and hoses.
A flattish bar not too wide will allow you to use the original cables.

It’s got fairly high bars on at the moment - which are actually pretty comfortable but does make the front end waggle a bitDon't worry. I'm used to it. I'm the world's n°1 specialist on rebuilding burnt Laverda. I have several in stock.

The front end will only waggle because of the bars if you're holding them too firmly. It’s got fairly high bars on at the moment - which are actually pretty comfortable but does make the front end waggle a bit
Yep - absolutely agree, Dave. I also recall the term European Touring Bar. Vince, dirt bike hand pos and leverage will surely be different from what you need on a road bike - MX and probably all dirt bike bars are very wide. The original SF2 handlebars were a fantastic bar (for me) very comfortable and sporting enough.
ThanksI use a Renthal "Road Ultra Low" p/n 758-01 on my Jota (thanks to @markQLD for the tip). They are a thick walled aluminium which perhaps damp the vibes better, anodised silver appearance. Not original looking, but a great shape, highly recommended and should be easily available.
