I got a set from Wolfgang in the zinc but they're the older domed type - i wanted the square top SF1 versions - probably should have included a set in that nut order I got from you Piet! If i'd a known you had 'em.

What I do need is the M12 fine thread long-nuts for the four lower engine mount bolts on SFs - got the bolts but have to use my SF nuts on the Q. Trying not to pilfer from bike #2.

Only one type of nut listed in the parts books, the yellow plastic-capped type, replaced with metal cap.

The short, flat-topped nuts (used at the primary chain tensioner) are a tad too short, the stud bottoms out in them. Of course, you can shorten the studs...

I can supply fine-thread nuts & bolts too, no worries.

I'll check but I thought the SF1 flat-topped ones had the same thread depth as the later SF2/3 yellow caps? I used double copper washers when I removed 1.75mm from my head height. Now have appropriate piston crowns for the CR ratio I want so can go back to std base gasket and unshaved head.

Might be another order in the wings, Piet! Getting stuff like long-nuts and fine threaded nyloc versions to boot is not easy in Oz. I scored some stainless M12 fines from the UK when ordering M8 fine (M8x1) cap screws for my light clutch bling kits a few years back. If the stainless is brittle I'll revert to 8.8 zinc.

Cam, does that mean my SFs are principally male?

I also have the M12 head nuts for 1973 works racers in stock... ;)

Not always easy to get special stuff here either, but basics are always available.
