Starter Clutch Puller

Howdy Y'all,
    I am looking to beg, borrow or steal a puller for the starter clutch on my SFC.  Any suggestions from the crew?

You don't really need one though it makes life so much easier.
Standard puller can be used aided by a rubber mallet.

Yeah, I have been looking at his.  I have a friend who has a total machine shop, I could probably make one, but he is shut down at the moment!  Most everything is shut down in this part of Texas, whick is why I am working on the SFC!  LOL!
 
Success!  3 legged puller and the clutch just popped off, scattering rollers everywhere!!  LOL! 
Next question, how does the oil pump sprocket come off??  Looks to be part of the shaft, and the screws are behind it.

Plenty of forum threads on that topic.
Just do a [Search].
You need to find the right position for the shaft dowel to pass through the oil pump gear.

3 O'clock or 9 O'clock.
Be gentle, any excessive force will burr the shaft housing and lead to binding.

Thanks Y'all !!  I had searched for it before, but I had not used the "correct" search parameters, and had no joy.  I found the thread for this and I will go forth armed with wisdom to do battle with the oil pump!  LOL!  Thanks again!

    Yes I did and you are a Laverda God!!  LOL!  I had been looking at that and fiddling with it for several days until your post, and then others directed me to a link on the forum that talked about it too!  Turned that gear over there as advertised and by God it slipped right out!  I would have never figured that trick out on my own, and I have worked on a lot of various engines over the years!  I really appreciate y'alls help.  I have owned these Laverda's since the early 80's, but never had to work on them.  Basically trying to get them cleaned up an all of the sludge out of the cases and slingers.  Surprisingly very little in the slingers,, a testament to frequent oil changes I guess!

    I want to thank you too!  Read a lot on the posts and your experience and willingness to share it are much appreciated.  Those cunning engineers, of which I am one, laid awake nights to come up with that method for fitting that shaft to the oil pump!!  I know that the roller bearing engines don't need the volume of oil that plain bearing engines do, but dang, that oil pump sure looks small given the size and space in that engine!

There are bigger pumps readily available. I don't find the standard pump lacking and have done thousands of km without sign of poor oil delivery and SFs are known long milers. Piet and others have seen bikes with worn out oil pumps though, and is is said that a lot of time spent idling will show deficiency in the pump. I have a bigger pump in my race bike but the big pump for my street bike is still sitting on the shelf ten years after I got it, I will do it one day but just not worried at all. A much bigger issue is ensuring that oil to the cam and rocker arms is in no way impeded.
 
Open the tappet cover while running the bike , and place ya face infront hole and see how much oil is dipping off ya nose once reved , great test of oil pump drive , 😆😂👍🏻
