Does anyone know where I can get the starter sorted for my mirage. Or is there a replacement available. Please

How bad is it? Ive just had mine fail but took it apart, cleaned it ,replaced brushes(4) and springs, reshimmed it to take out the end float and its like a new one . Its fiddly but massively cheaper than a used one which may well need refurb anyway. I would also recommend strongly that you do the starter clutch as well if it hasnt already been apart. If the starter is worn the clutch probably is too!

going back a while so you've probably solved this problem, but for anyone similarly in need of a good starter motor for less than the ridiculous amount it costs for a refurb/exchange from more recognised Laverda/italian specialists I suggest https://newstore.bluetraction.eu/en/fiem/540-4678014.html?search_query=Laverda&results=5 the latest red one is a direct 14t replacement, an improvement on their older version where you had to use your own 14tooth gear from the previous motor. Nothing wrong with the actual motor before, I've been using mine for acouple of years now no hassle. it's just now you don't need to aquire a gear seperately.
