Hi all,
any recommendation of a modern starter relay to buy? last time I bought one was always getting stucked in the "run" postition, so I don't know if I had a problem with just this one or if they need any special specifications...

Best regards,
Miguel

The one on my SFC1000 failed with the starter not being able to be shut off. I had to run and get some wire cutters to cut the battery cable. The starter motor was very hot but still worked OK once cooled down.

I bought this one as according to Bosch, it is the replacement for what Laverda used and I found it on Amazon. So far it has worked OK for the past year.

Mine is ex Kawasaki 750 something or other, but a lot of Jap bikes used exactly the same thing. This type:

If you use one with the fused outlet, that can be useful for feeding circuits that you may have added to the bike.

A simple horseshoe plate bracket mounts it.

I did err towards a used 'proper' Japanese one, rather than a new reproduction. Has worked fine for over a decade now.
