For anyone that hasn't seen it. Stone movie is available for free download on ABC iView, not sure how you would get it overseas. Classic 1973 biker movie filmed in Sydney. Favourite line is "keep your spanners off our moles".

In those days it was just jump on a bike and ride it off a cliff- think that was a record 80’ ! Films like this Easy rider, On any Sunday got everyone on bikes- perhaps the lack off a decent bike movie in the last thirty years is why bikes are in decline.
What was the Aussie bike movie with Knights on sidecars? That was mental.
 
The only Oz Sidecar movie I remember was this one, it was pretty good. It ended with some Mt Panarama racing. The Sidecar people, there were a few female swingers were always crazy competitive.

Driving a boat in Oslo with school classes teaching boating knowledge, I had teachers come up and whistle the Skippy theme when they found out where I was from. Bizarre, remembered it from when they were kids.

When I was a kid, the dagos/wogs at school used to call us Aussie kids Skips.

None at all Chris! And what was odd was that we used to make dago comments and jokes but many of my mates were of italiano origin! I'm glad we've moved on ...
