Swinging arm weight

Have been doing a bit of 3D CAD modelling of my '77 Jarama swinging arm*, but I'd like to verify some of the parameters I've used.  Basically what I need is the weight of a stripped down standard swinger so I can check that the material specs and stuff I've guessed at are OK.  Anyone out there got one they can just bung on the scales for me?

Cheers

* I'm looking at using the envelope to create a new, stiffer version that indistinguishable from stock.  Yet another project that's very unlikely to ever get made, but it keeps my eye in and off the streets.

I can weigh a stripped 3C swinger when I get home, should be only a tad lighter.

Regards,
Gerald

If you could do that it would be great, not really any hurry though.  It's just the bracket for the disc brake mount missing isn't it?  Should be fine for a ball park - I've got it at 3.305kg which I think may be a tad on the light side.

Best if you use alloy or steel. The paper used in envelopes is pretty flimsy, even if you are good at origami...  :-* :P

I have a swinger I could weigh but it is not bare as it still has the bearings in it. Let me know and I can weigh it pretty quickly.

May be stiffer made from cardboard....

I know that the bearings weigh 125 grams, but there's a spacer/tube in there as well isn't there?

just had the swinger on a digital bathroom scale. 4.3kg
yep, that's same as what I just measured.
'78 1200 swing-arm and bearings, no spacer = 4.3 kg, on me digital scale.

,, and i think the alloy swing-arm (ex Windy Corner - Spondon) was about 1 kg lighter.

Cheers guys, thought that the tube thickness was a bit thin - just upped it and it's now 4.27kg - result.  Just need the chain guard lugs now.....
